November 19th

Yes that's right, November 19 is set as the date for handover!

Had a call from my SS today to advise that the Certificate of Occupancy has been approved, he has the painters coming in tomorrow to fix the facade and touch up around the house. His Manager will go through with him probably Wednesday and then Quality Assurance. He will then walk me through the house and my Inspector will go through on Monday.

It's now happening so fast. I have so much to do and so much more to pack. I am surrounded by 'to do' lists and have not crossed anything off. It's time to get organised!

Will keep you updated.

  1. Big Congratulations - trust inspections goes well and your enjoying your new home as planned. Happy Packing.

  2. Hi! Can you tell me who did your Driveway and Decking? Metricon are leaving this for us to complete...

  3. Ohhh Emmm Geee... thats SO EXCITING!!!
Greener than green with envy, but so happy for you Kylie.

  4. Hi Robert

Metricon did both my Decking and Driveway. Are you in Melbourne? I have heard that they do not do these in Queensland however I do not know how true this is.

The Driveway is a product called Fauxtex which is supplied through a company called Concrete Technologies. You can google the product as I am sure there are quite a few companies that use it. It is stamped and the colour added at the time of pouring. It is meant to be two toned however it was not looking that two toned at the time that I took the photos.

    Hope this helps

  5. So nice to have been following your journey, we will all look forward to seeing the finished product soon Kylie - haven't forgotten about those Christmas drinks - he he!!

  6. Thanks. Yes. I am in Queensland!! I will do some google 'ing'.

  7. Kylie, are you still looking for garden ideas? We were at a nursery on the weekend and took a few pics you might like. Happy to send them through if you pm me an email address!
Less than 10 days to go!!!
Like Janine said, it's been a pleasure to be able to follow your build (even though we haven't met you yet).
